Go green: Pin a green ribbon (the color identified with mental health awareness) to your jacket, bag or backpack, or wear something green—even if it’s just shoelaces.

Be sociable: Post (or repost) facts about mental illness and mental health resources on Facebook, Twitter and other social media.

Work on it: Provide an item on mental health in the workplace for your organization’s newsletter.

Chalk it up: Grab some colorful chalk and inscribe positive and supportive messages on a sidewalk near you.

Go by the book: Donate a book about mental health, coping with mental illness, or a recovery journey to your faith community’s library.
